Detachment
When we are first learning to control our emotions we will make mistakes and get angry, argumentative or wallow in self pity. Meditation is not going to turn you into Mr. Spock over night. What do we do? We pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, forgive ourselves for our mistake and try again. Every time someone comes at us in anger is a new chance to practice detachment. Eventually, we learn that we do not have to respond. We learn that we can be as a stone in a river and let the chaos flow around us while we remain serene.
Sam.
